Two sides of the same coin
In the game of life, there is so often two sides of the same coin, winners can be losers and losers often turn out to be winners. I'm using chess and cherry syrup as the metaphorical representation of this concept. There are three images in this series. "The Winner takes all", which means that the winner receives not only the glory, attention, fame and all other positive attributes that accompany winning but he also takes responsibility for the choices he makes upon his journey to winning and the subsequent negative events that are the natural and inevitable consequence of his actions. The second image is called "Two sides of the same coin" and the third is "The thin red line". They are representative of how easily the winner can become a loser and how unstable the winning position is.
